Care Giving
Essential Categories of Modern Caregiving
Elderly Care
This is broad support for seniors to help them age safely. It focuses on daily chores, personal hygiene, and social interaction to help older adults maintain their independence for as long as possible.
At-Home Care
Support services delivered directly in the patient’s residence rather than a facility. It ranges from “companion care” (cooking/cleaning) to “home health care” (medical tasks like wound care or physical therapy).
Palliative Care
Specialized medical care focused on relieving the pain and symptoms of a serious illness. It is used alongside curative treatments to improve a patient’s comfort and quality of life at any stage of a disease.
End-of-Life Care
Often called Hospice, this care is for patients in the final stages of a terminal illness where curative treatment has stopped. The sole priority is ensuring the person is comfortable, pain-free, and supported emotionally until they pass.
